Scorching Seersucker

Heatwaves are tough... So are polar vortexes, so neither end of the temperature spectrum is pleasant. Today, I'm dealing with the former. I decided to wear a loose-fitting seersucker maxi dress to try and remain as covered as possible while still being breathable. Seersucker is a great fabric for hot temperatures for those reasons. The low back and spaghetti straps also make this dress a good option for a hot day. However, I decided to wear a cardigan to protect me from the sun, but also as a layer for indoors in the air conditioning. I could even wear it tied over my shoulders for a bit more coverage without being too much. Finally, I accessorized with a matching headband, necklace and sandals. I probably should have worn my hair up because I did find it warmer loose. In my defence, I was having a good hair day, so I just went for it. I managed to fare well enough throughout the day, but was happy to be home by the end of it.
