I'm reaching for the extra cozy pieces in the warmest, spiciest of colours. It's still fall, and the darker mornings are making me reach for some comforting pieces. I opted for this rust knit sweater and paired it with my new brown jeans. These jeans are a bit of a departure for me but were a gift from my mom and I'm actually happy with the fit. It's a different silhouette but they actually fit nicely. I am partial to the brown colour so am happy to be adding them to my fall wardrobe. I added chocolate-brown booties, leaf earrings and a good old plaid blanket scarf. I don't care that they are not in at the moment because the coziness of a blanket scarf is unmatched! My collection of blanket scarves has gotten me through many a Canadian winter and I am nothing if not a lover of practical fashion items. My favourite pieces are those where fashion meets function. I was happy to have my scarf to stay warm in the drizzly outdoor weather and cozy at my desk. To me, that versatility beats any trends.
