Clad in Plaid
I love the plaid skirt my mom made me! She's the best mom in the world! Who wouldn't like bespoke pieces? I am so grateful to have such a talented and generous mom. I decided to wear my skirt in a casual way today by pairing it with a graphic tee and denim jacket. Although I wore the black flats indoors, I ended up trading them for my red rubber boots outdoors because it was pouring! Turns out, they matched my skirt perfectly and I totally found myself feeling very Scottish... It's in my genes after all! This was a fun way to style my skirt and wear it other than during fall and around Christmas time. I tried something out of the box and am very happy with how it turned out!

All Wrapped Up
What to wear when you end up with dinner plans at the last minute? A printed wrap dress will always be a safe bet! It is a timeless shape that looks good on practically every body type and is easy-peasy to style. This turquoise number is from Banana Republic, back when this dress was one of their staples and came back every season in new colours and patterns. I really wish they would bring it back... Anyways, I opted to style the dress with a light grey leather jacket and fuchsia flats. A structured layer and a pop of colour is all I needed for a refreshing springtime look perfect for a double-date! It hit the right balance between dressy and casual. Do you have a go-to dinner outfit?

Looking Fleur Trouble
This look it totally bad girl meets good girl. Mixing pastel floral with leather and stud flats is feminine with an edge! I love pairing unexpected combinations. This outfit is an entirely new take on casual Friday. The pencil skirt is a classic cut and the tucked-in t-shirt helps with the structure of the look. Pointed-toe black flats are very office appropriate, but the stud detailing of this pair makes a bold statement. Throw in a black moto jacket and there you have it, a perfectly appropriate office look that does not skimp on the wow-factor! This look is on point for kicking-off the weekend with major style points. Happy-hour anyone?

Life is a Runway
For as long as I can remember, I've always loved clothes and fashion. Wearing coordinated outfits to school was a must! My mom tells me stories of me not enjoying my swimming lessons, but absolutely loving strutting in my swimsuit by the pool... Who needs an actual runway when then entire world can be your catwalk? I can strut my stuff anywhere! That's why when I saw this graphic t, I had to get it. The writing is very small but, on the front it says "The world is my catwalk" and on the back it says "This is my best pose". Now, I do not claim to be a model whatsoever, but I like to pretend, it's more fun that way!

TBT - Unicorn Flavour
This throwback is brought to you by the Unicorn Frappuccino. Last week, I got sucked in and my curiosity got the best of me. I just HAD to try Starbucks' new colourful drink. While enjoying the sweet and tart beverage, and admiring it's artful colouring, I was reminded of an outfit I wore a couple years ago. I figured the time was right to feature it on the blog. Without even knowing it, I paired turquoise, purple and pink in what I can now refer to as the Unicorn Colour Block. I even had the purple hair at that point... The unicorn is definitely my spirit animal! This look was as bold as the beverage, minus the sugar rush!

Sun Burst
This marigold, rose-gold sequin-burst cardigan is a show-stopper! Seeing as I had lost my favourite mustard cardigan, I new finding a replacement would be tough. Thank you J. Crew for always having my back! This piece has the wow-factor I love finding in clothing! It's unique and fun and sure to add pizzazz to any look. I'm all about the statement pieces... I decided to wear it with a pleated leather mini and a simple white tee with black accents. I figured the neutral backdrop would really make the cardigan shine in all its glory! I swear, this cardigan even shines in the dark! It is sure to brighten up even the dreariest of days, such as this one was (hence the thick black tights.)
