Sun Burst

This marigold, rose-gold sequin-burst cardigan is a show-stopper! Seeing as I had lost my favourite mustard cardigan, I new finding a replacement would be tough. Thank you J. Crew for always having my back! This piece has the wow-factor I love finding in clothing! It's unique and fun and sure to add pizzazz to any look. I'm all about the statement pieces... I decided to wear it with a pleated leather mini and a simple white tee with black accents. I figured the neutral backdrop would really make the cardigan shine in all its glory! I swear, this cardigan even shines in the dark! It is sure to brighten up even the dreariest of days, such as this one was (hence the thick black tights.)

Leather Lovin'

Some days just start off on the wrong foot... I made a run in my tights first thing this morning and knew it would be one of those days. I figured I'd wear a witty graphic tee to make my mood known to all. If you want to have a good day, please avoid crossing paths with me (said in the most tactful way possible). In comes the "Be nice or go away" shirt! It's straight to the point, and tells it like it is! Plus, I don't actually have to utter a single syllable! Seeing as I was feeling a little less goody-goody today, I figured a leather mini skirt and back-seem tights fit the bill. I added a black blazer and pumps to tone things down a bit and give the look more structure for work. Let's just say, I was ready for happy hour once 5 o'clock came around!

Accessorize Like a Boss

I like a good statement piece and this bib necklace is very loud! I knew I had to have it the moment I spotted it. I could not stop thinking of possible ways to style it, my brain was on overdrive! Today, I chose to wear it with my burgundy leather mini and my metallic grey sweater and burnout tights. This look is so glam! I agree that all this shine can give a slight disco-ball illusion, but it is not as shiny in person. The camera flash makes it look way shinier than it really is. I absolutely love the in-your-face effect of the necklace, it really makes the outfit! This look could easily be worn to a multitude of festive activities in the upcoming season. Work party, happy hour, family diner, you name it! Shine on my fellow fashionistas!

Leather Mini

"Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?"

I did not see it when putting this outfit together, but when I looked in the mirror, it immediately made me think of Disney's Pocahontas. I actually quite like it! This cape is one of my favourite additions this season. It goes with almost everything and I feel it gives each outfit a whole new dimension. The combination of brown suede booties, a leather mini, a leaf pendant necklace, braids and wooden earrings give an at-one-with-nature vibe to the outfit. The country girl looks make an appearance every once in a while. I cannot deny it, it is part of who I am! My earrings are a recent gift from my partner. He took old broken branches from a lilac tree in our backyard and whittled them into cute little earrings that he then varnished. They are absolutely beautiful and unique. The best part is that they were made exclusively for me. Gifts from the heart always mean so much more!
