Hello, Goodbye

It's tough saying goodbye to a colleague... Especially one that was with us as for the last few years and who only recently signed on for a longer contract. We are a small (but awesome) team at work, so when someone leaves, it's a big gap. As sad as I am to see this person go, I cannot resent the choice as the job is in her direct field and she deserves nothing less than the job of her dreams! Today was her last day, so we went out for a team lunch to celebrate, not only her arrival, but also her departure and her birthday to boot! We had a great trifecta of reasons to celebrate! I wish her all the best in her future endeavors and thoroughly enjoyed the time I was privileged to work alongside her.

On to the look! I decided on my bright pompom scarf, yet again. I just can't get enough of this fun and versatile piece. I figured I'd embrace the pop of colour and build the rest of my outfit with red touches. To help transition all this colour into fall, I added desert washed distressed jeans to give off a bit more of a warm tone to the look. When I'm feeling a little down, wearing a bright colour perks me right up. Sometimes an outfit does more than just make you decent!
