Buzz Worthy Boots

Who wears tall boots? I wear tall boots! OTK boots are a one of my ultimate favourites! They are perfect for us long-legged chicks and add a great dose of flair and style, with a hint of sex-appeal! These black suede Steve Madden ones are perfect in every way! The block heel gives it stability, the ties at the back of the leg keep them in place and the thinner material makes them comfortable ,all while defining your lovely gams! What is there not to like about that? I decided to wear them with my liquid leggings for added va-va-voom, but styed conservative on top with a knitted tunic that covered my bum. I also draped a plaid blanket scarf around my shoulders because fall calls for plaid in every outfit! I finished things off with a black velvet choker for some 90s grunge. This look strikes the perfect balance between trendy, traditional and vintage!

Maxed Out

When I wear something, I like to wear it to the max! Well, ok, maybe not all the time. But when I decide I'm going to wear something to the max, I go all out! This dress is so bold and colourful with its tropical print it screams summer! A bold print, on a maxi dress, makes for a really stand-out piece. I decided to infuse a bit of drama by adding a black cropped cardigan and black sandals. The print is still the centre of the show, but the black sets it off just right. I finished off with jewel toned jewelry that pick up on the golden and purple hues of the print. A bit a fun, a bit of glam and a bit of drama make for a maxed out look!

Jewel Cords

There is something so rich and sophisticated about jewel tones. I love wearing them all at once for a really rich look. While colours of this palette can be seductive, today's take is more fun. I paired my teal cords with a deep fuchsia top and infused the rest of the outfit with a jewel-toned print zip-up sweater. The splashes of colour in the sweater tie the outfit together, while incorporating other similar hues to the look. The beauty about jewel tones is that they look good on every skin tone! Even though you may not be able to afford real sapphires or emeralds, these gems' colours can easily be added to your closet.

Cape Addict

I have a confession to make, I'm addicted to capes... Glad I got that off my chest! Today's cape is an extra special one as it is reversible! Yes, it means that it is that much more versatile than my other capes. This jewel tone plaid print is the perfect jumping-off point for an outfit. I let the cape do all the talking and kept the rest of the outfit very simple. I did a colour block with colours found in the print (ie: teal, grey and purple). It was the perfect cozy fall outfit!

Jewel Tones

Jewel tones are the best! This particular top reminds me of peacock feathers. It combines shades of sapphire, amethyst and emerald in such a beautiful abstract pattern. Naturally I wore it with a green skirt and sapphire sandals to tie the whole look together. Pretty prints will always be the star of any look. They are the kicking-off point for many of my outfits.
