I had styled this outfit the moment I saw the Duchess of Cambridge wear this on a recent engagement in Northern Ireland. I've always been a fan of purple and knew I had a coat in a similar shade so was inspired to give this navy and purple look my own spin. I decided to wear a base layer of navy and let the purple coat pop. I chose a turtleneck and pleated midi skirt (items often worn by the duchess) and opted for a purple belt and matching suede pumps. I finished off the look with a statement velvet hair bow. I felt totally regal in this outfit and could definitely picture Kate in something similar.
