I am so happy I finally found a replacement trench (after losing mine in the fire...) and that it arrived just in time for this unpredictable spring weather we are experiencing. I am sure putting this new coat to good use! A trench is such a classic piece to wear and literally goes with everything. My look was pretty basic today, but it was by no means boring! My simple white sweater had ruffles and fluted hem and wrists while the black pants were adored with gold polka dots. Instead of basic black flats, I opted for the gold glitter ones, they are just a tad more laid back. Instead of classic pearls, I went with the multi-strand statement piece! So you see, while the building blocks of the look are classic pieces, I simply chose their trendier counterparts. The best part about doing this is that no matter the "fluff", all pieces work together because it's just a livelier take on the basics! How would you go about jazzing up a basic white top and black pants outfit?
