Lace be Colourful

I am so desperately longing for spring and I am throwing caution to the wind and wearing a full-on spring-y look! I was still snowing this morning, but I was blatantly ignoring the forecast today! While kissing me goodbye for the day, my fiancé asked me if it was going to rain. I said I didn't know, and he remarked on just how funny it was that I got dressed without considering the forecast. I said: "This is what I'm wearing today come hell or high water. If it rains, I'll get wet; if it's snows, I'll freeze; if it's windy, I'll get disheveled." We've seen it all these last couple weeks, so I was just going to face whatever surprise awaited me outdoors. I'm not usually this brave, and actually dress for the weather, but I'm at my wit's end with this weather roulette!

That being said, let's focus on the outfit in question. I decided on this eyelet lace blouse with ruffle trim yoke. It has this old timey feel to it, yet also feel modern because of the ruffle comeback. I kept the look rather basic and focused on adding jolts of colour with my accessories. I opted for bright green earrings and hot pink boots. Both colours were selected from the statement floral necklace. I didn't get all that carried away, because I did actually opt to wear a coat and scarf, just to be on the safe side. That, and I always have emergency mitts in my purse! Anybody else do that?
