Staying Afloat

I am hanging-in there, but it's only a matter of time before someone sets up an intervention for wearing red rubber boots too often. These babies have been on serious repeat as of late, but I swear, the reason is definitely function over fashion. To say the weather has been wet and humid lately is an understatement. The only footwear up to the task of maneuvering through ice, slush, snow and puddles are these boots! I've always been a fan of my Hunters, but I've never been so grateful to have them as I am this season. I really feel like I live in a coastal town these days, so I figured I'd at least start looking the part. I've always had a penchant for the nautical style, but today's look is extremely sartorial! I have a red and blue Breton stripe top, navy leggings, bright red rubber boots, a double-breasted white sleeveless-blazer, pearl earrings and a fancy blue bandana scarf. I swear, the only thing missing to complete this look is a boat. Although, if this weather continues, I might have to switch modes of transportation for my morning commute...
