Weird Winter Weather

Man, oh man is the weather unpredictable these days... We are basically starting our 3rd winter this year. I woke up to a fresh layer of snow recovering all outdoor surfaces and winds gusts as crazy as they get. Oh, and did I mention the mercury dropped to -20 again? We went from hopes of spring to full-on winter in the blink of an eye. I am seriously at a lost when it comes to outfit planning these days. I keep hoping to wear so lighter pieces, but find myself reaching for my cozy layers once more. I am longing to wear my springtime favourites!

Today's look is another take on the weekend uniform comprised of leggings, a soft sweater and seriously chunky knit socks. I've been wearing this sweater on repeat lately because its softness is unmatched! It was so cold, I even added a long-sleeved tee underneath it. Then, I pulled out the big guns with my choice of socks! These are so chunky and think, they are like wearing slippers that go up to your calves. They were a Christmas gift a few years back and have become my go-tos on the coldest days. My mom had even gotten me the hot water bottle with matching cozy! Well, let me tell you, I also pulled out said hot water bottle and snuggled up on the couch with it under my blanket. I had to make myself a cocoon in order to survive this never-ending winter.
