Step one: enjoy AC at home.
Step two: slowly walk to the bus stop.
Step three: ride bus with AC and return body temperature to normal.
Step four: slowly walk from bus stop to work.
Step five: sit at desk all day in the AC, avoiding the outdoors.
Then, I simply reverse these steps at the end of the day. I am also that person who always carries and random piece of mail in her purse to fan herself with when the weather is unbearable. I will resort to anything to try and stay cool. Have any other neat tricks? Please send them my way!
Today's look had one too many layers. I could have done without the sleeveless blazer. I'm starting to sprinkle-in a few jewel tones in my outfits as a way to slowly ease into fall dressing. This makes it easier to face the facts that fall is probably still a few weeks away, but you know, denial. Hence my choice of the teal top and topaz earrings. I also chose to wear my funky cut-out shooties and, as much as they are comfortable, I had a hard time taking them off at the end of the day because of swelling. When tugging while trying to remove them, I couldn't help but think of this picture of Kim Kardashian. It was not nearly as bad, but this gives you the gist. So there you have it: my hopeful fall outfit that was not suited for the heat wave.
