Light Layering
I'll be the first to admit this look is more of a fall colour palette, but I'm just going to run with it. I started with the striped top (very spring) and added a quilted vest (a light layer because it's still cold). All was fine up to that point. Then, I added the checked skirt and chose navy tights because they pick up on the palette of the skirt. In hindsight, I probably would have been better off with nude tights and navy booties. That way, the entire outfit would have felt lighter... Oh well, you live and learn. Perhaps I'll rewear this outfit in the fall!
