Going for a very classic and preppy fall look today. I got a new striped shirt (who's surprised?) and really wanted to use its colour palette for my entire outfit. I'd been looking for a cognac/rust and navy/black striped top for some time now and was delighted to find one this year! My top is officially rust and black, but I find the black to be ambiguous enough to also read as navy. This feature is ideal as it maximizes the styling possibilities. I decided to pair it with dark skinny jeans and my navy double-breasted blazer. I then added more hints of cognac with the printed scarf and flats. I am absolutely loving the final look! It's the perfect dressy-meets-laid back outfit for a crisp early fall day. Blazers are a great option this time of year as it's not quite cold enough for a jacket but you still need a layer in the mornings and evenings. You also can't go wrong with a navy/cognac colour combo. When in doubt, opt for classics and you'll never be disappointed!
