The other day, a colleague of mine paid me the best compliment. When we met up at the bus stop, she exclaimed that rust was my colour and that the shade suited me very well. I was so flattered to hear that, and it made my day. While I wear a rust/pumpkin spice shade often in the fall because I simply like it, it's also nice to hear that it works with my colouring. I suspected as much, but I could have been biased because it's one of my favourite colours. It's nice to have that confirmed by someone else! Now that I know it suits me, I'll be wearing it even more often (not that I needed that excuse!) I paired my new spicy cardigan sweater with my timeless houndstooth skirt and burgundy accessories for a classic fall colour palette. Autumn is definitely my favourite season to dress for (and that includes the festive season - basically from September through to December!)
