When in doubt, go for some stripes and a printed scarf. I was feeling the navy striped sweater today and decided to pair it with my navy pleated skirt. I love the shine of the skirt against the textures of the knit. Contrasting finishes in a same colour add interest. With the matching navy booties and earrings, I found my outfit was looking a little flat still. So I added a printed scarf with a red bow in my hair. I love how the scarf adds a much-needed pop of colour and an element to draw the focus. Paired with the collared shirt is such a classic take. Winter layering doesn't have to be boring, it can really provide opportunities for stylish expression.
