Pastel Puddles

In April it rains a lot, so one must be ready! I have an arsenal of rubber boots, rain jackets and umbrellas to keep me dry. As much as dressing for the rain can be a tad challenging, I find the dreary weather is another thing to keep in mind. The weather can really affect my mood, so I like to wear bright colours and patterns on rainy days to keep my spirit up. A neat trick in achieving this is to make sure you buy brightly-coloured rain gear! Two birds, one stone! The starting point for this look was the scarf. I love the multi-colored print and just picked out hues from the scarf to build my outfit. Yellow boots, a turquoise cardigan and blush rain coat were all selected based on how they matched the scarf. I then picked a simple black t-shirt dress for the base of my look and opted for patterned tights to add another layer of fun! Tights also dry faster when wet so are a great option on rainy days.
