Sugar Shack

It's that time of year again: Sugar Shack season is upon us! We like the yearly tradition of going to get our sugar fix, it's the ultimate Canadian spring activity. I obviously wore plaid because there is no better time to wear it than during a rustic activity in the bush. Rubber boots are also a great call because springtime is muddy out in the country and you want to be prepared. It was actually quite nice the day we went but I wore a quilted vest over my shirt because the weather can change very fast this time of year and I didn't want to get cold. The mustard scarf, burlap headband and fleur-de-lys earrings were a nod to the quintessentially Canadian activity. I grabbed a trusty Longchamp tote to keep the necessities on hand and to have somewhere to stash all the maple goodies!
