Happy International Women's Day! I wanted to mark the occasion by sporting the suffrage movement colours. However, when doing some research, I realized that there were no given colours to the movement in Canada. The UK had its green, white, and violet while the US had its purple, white and gold/yellow. I therefore decided to just pick one of the colour schemes and opted for a green, white and violet outfit. I know the colouring of the picture makes the tights appear more blue, put I assure you they are indeed purple. I am grateful every day for the rights of which I benefit thanks to the suffrage movement. I will never take for granted that which other women before me had to fight for. We have come a long way and must keep exercising those rights so that future generations can keep moving forward.
