Brightening a Rainy Day

Rainy May days call for bright colours and fun accessories to add a bit of happiness to the dreariness. My go-to top come spring/summer is definitely the Breton top. Give me all the stripes! This one is a particular favourite as it's a rainbow pastel version. I paired it with light wash jeans and my trusty yellow rubber boots. This is where fashion meets function. I never thought I'd get so much wear out of my yellow boots, but they have proven to be a wardrobe basic for me. I mean, is there anything more quintessential than yellow rain boots? It's got to be up there with the yellow raincoat. I forwent the raincoat and chose my cobalt bell-sleeve coat today. It wasn't raining very hard, so this would do just fine. I jazzed it up with some fun enamel pins. I then finished off the look with a light blue hair bow on my ponytail and some pompom earrings. It was all fun and games with today's outfit!
