Who's ready for my traditional cherry blossom pictures? I guess it's turned into a yearly post at this point. This is the fourth consecutive year that I take this specific type of outfit photos. You can see my previous posts here (2019, 2020, 2021). I don't miss a chance to do outfit photos with the cherry blossoms in full bloom. They bloom for such a short period of time that I have to be ready to go the day they are at their best, while hoping we don't get a heavy downpour or strong winds. I wish they would bloom for longer than a week because they are so beautiful. My neighbourhood is filled with them and it's such a treat to take it all in on my daily walks. Perhaps I'm tempted to do these shoots as a way of immortalizing the pretty pale pink blooms. This way, I can capture the ephemeral beauty and look back on it whenever I want.
I tend to stick to a colour palette of blush, pink and white when putting together outfits for this shoot. I suppose I want to dress in a way to compliment the blooms. I opted for my Pink Botanical Nap Dress this year (how could I not?) I layered a lace long-sleeve top underneath and accessorized with fuchsia sandals, headband and scarf. I think this is one of my favourite looks yet!
