For all those times I featured outfits that would be perfect for a picnic, today's look was actually worn to a real-life picnic party! Two months ago, I found out that the owner of my favourite little caramel shop, Pickle and Myrrh, was going to host a Sweet and Salty Picnic Party over the long weekend to celebrate the launch of her newest caramel flavour, Pretzel Caramel! Being a fan of her caramels, the little town of Merrickville and picnics, I was all in! There was a local vendor's fair and a few local eateries also got in on the fun by offering picnic baskets on pre-order. My husband and I had ordered three of the baskets on offer and each was as great as the next. My aunt had come along for the day and we had the most wonderful time. It was the most beautiful, sunny day; perfect for the event. That is until the derecho storm blew in... Luckily, we had made it home safely mere minutes before the storm hit. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that those two events happened on the same day. Talk about a 180!
