In the run-up to the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend, I thought I'd share the details of the outfit I wore to "meet" Charles and Camilla on May 18, during their Royal Tour of Canada. Truth be told, I hadn't given much thought to my outfit, which is very unlike me! I sort of made the call to go at the last minute and just ended up wearing the outfit I had planned to wear to work that day. I had opted for my blue glitter check Nesli Nap Dress, with a denim jacket and white sneakers. I figured it was modest, yet dressy enough to potentially meet royals while being comfortable enough to walk in. I had accessorized in a slight royal style with some sapphire stud earrings, my trusty Longchamp purse and a gingham bow in my hair. I even had on my happy Daisy pin from Nutmeg and Arlo for that extra touch of Britishness, ha ha! You can imagine my delight when I saw the Duchess emerge from the car in a very similar shade of blue! I was thrilled to pieces that I ended up twinning with a royal. It's the small things, really. All in all, I think my outfit was the ideal thing to wear that day, from top to bottom!
