Winter White

It is snowing today. I called it. Winter isn't over yet. In the spirit of staying with the spring train of thought, I decided to wear a winter look in a pastel palette. In come the baby blue trousers and the winter-white cable knit sweater with scalloped detailing. I added cobalt earrings for a pop of colour and bundled up in a plaid blanket scarf to keep the chills at bay. I can definitely wear these pants come spring with a cute sandal and blouse combo but, for now, they're pulling winter-duty with the grey boots and a seriously warm scarf. I could even wear this sweater in the early spring paired with either pastels or brighter hues. I say that because the knit pattern is more open in some areas creating what I like to refer to as "air holes" which let the breeze through. A welcome bonus on those warmer days. I'd say this is pretty much a three-season sweater for that very reason. Actually, make that 4-seasons because it would be perfect for a cool night on a boat or patio. You can't go wrong with a little white sweater, really.
