Mimi Takes Five - #64

ONE // Colour Block Midi Dress
Can one really have too many pleated dresses? Being the huge pleated skirt fan that I am, a pleated dress wasn't a far stretch! Make it a bold colour-block number and I'm all over it. I knew the moment I saw this Banana Republic dress that I needed it. It's as bold, crisp and as summery as it can get. I just can't get over the blue and coral colour-combo, which has been a favourite of mine for years. Wear it with sun-kissed skin and you're golden!

TWO // Driving Range
So I finally signed up for my work golf-tournament this year... My husband will also be part of our team and turns out he'll be the only member with any real golfing experience. Being the ever so sporty person that I am (not!), he thought it would be a good idea to go hit a bucket of balls at the driving range to get a bit of a feel for it. We stopped to get me a couple clubs on our way and off we went! I'm happy I got to get some pointers and some practice shots in before the big day. Hopefully I manage to actually hit some good shots during the tournament. Fingers crossed!

THREE // Raffia Earrings
I have worn these perfect little earrings all summer long! Obviously, the raffia material is right up my alley and the neutral palette goes with everything! Not to mention they are super lightweight, which makes them a breeze to wear. These have become a summer basic in my accessory game!

FOUR // Little Women
I stumbled upon the trailer for a remake of Little Women the other day and I was so, so pleased! This is such a classic story of female empowerment so I think the timing for bringing it back is just right. I also think the line-up of actresses is utter perfection! I do have a penchant for classic stories in historical settings, so this is right up my alley. It'll be a great thing to go see in theaters over my Christmas break!

FIVE // Cognac Slides
Another summer basic that I absolutely adore are my cognac slides! I got these for a bargain at Old Navy in the spring and they have turned out to be my favourite pair of sandals this summer. Again, they are a basic, neutral colour that goes with everything, especially with tanned skin! They are also very comfortable. So much so that I wore them for the first time on a long day of exploring on our honeymoon and got zero blisters! If that's not the sign of a great pair of shoes, I don't know what is!
