It's not quite the festive season yet, but I wanted a nail polish colour that would fit perfectly between fall and Christmas. I pulled out my box of polishes and landed on this shiny deep red. It was from the Betty Boop collab Ipsy did last year and I think it's perfect for this time of year. It's not a rich fall burgundy, but it's not a bright red Christmas hue either. It's a shade somewhere in between and I find perfect for dreary November!
TWO // Puffed Sleeve Sweater
This sweater has made all of my sweater dreams come true in one fell swoop! It's the perfect wear-anytime neutral colour, it's got a great square neckline and the show-stopping detail: the most perfect puffed sleeves! Being the Anne of Green Gables fan that I am, I've always had a soft spot for puffed sleeves, IYKYK. Well, when I clapped eyes on this marvel of a sweater, I clicked add-to-cart faster than my own shadow! I think it's my favourite sweater I've ever owned and will be number one for a very long time!
THREE // KP Bump Eraser
For as long as I can remember, I've had "chicken skin", a term so lovingly used in my household to describe the tiny bumps on the skin of my arms and legs. As I later found out, this skin condition is called keratosis pilaris, or KP. It's actually not dry skin, as most people assume, but rather a buildup of keratin that blocks the hair follicles from piercing the skin. I've tried every product under the sun to try and treat it over the years without success. I then came across this product: First Aid Beauty's KP bump eraser. I had hope because I've loved all other FAB products I've tried in the past. I've been using it in the shower on my lower legs for almost two months now and I can say that my skin is the smoothest it's ever been my whole life! I wouldn't say I'm "cured", as I think the bumps will come back the minute I stop using this product. But it's the most success I've had and definitely recommend to all who deal with KP!
FOUR // Bouclé Skirt
This is the skirt every girl needs in her closet, seriously. It's the perfect bouclé check in a neutral palette of black and ivory; plus those button and faux-wrap details take it up a notch. I can see myself wearing this for years to come as it can easily be styled for fall, winter or even springtime outfits. It can be dressed up or down and can work for the office or a more laid-back environment. It's got that slight Chanel look about it that makes it timeless and classy. What's there not to like about this skirt?
FIVE // Velvet Scrunchie
I love a good velvet accessory. I was a big fan of velvet as a kid and particularly remember one Christmas dress fondly. Anyways, when it made a comeback a few years ago, I started stocking up again. I've got a few velvet hair bows, but I didn't have a scrunchie; until now! I actually got this at a Christmas in July sale... It's never too early for a good festive accessory! I chose the taupe colour as I didn't have anything in that shade and it's a good neutral. I've worn it a few times this fall and can't wait to keep wearing in throughout the festive and winter seasons. Anybody else on team scrunchie?
