Harry Potter and the Orchestra

I have always dreamed of having to get dressed to attend an actual Potter event and the day has come! Sure, I did see every movie in cinemas but was not so much into thematic dressing back then. I also do wear Potter inspired outfits every now and then, but this time I'm going to a Potter event so I can go all out! Well, maybe not on the level of wearing a cloak and pointed hat...

Seeing as I was still going to be in public, I opted for some heavy Potter inspirations. I started with a blue colour palette to subtly reference my house (Ravenclaw). I wanted to be comfortable, yet still presentable enough to go to the theatre - this was a live performance after all. I let myself be inspired by the casual looks sported by the characters in the books so went with jeans, a layered sweater vest and shirt topped with a blazer. It's giving off slight school uniform vibes, but also country/preppy British vibes. I added some very on-the-nose Potter pins, feather earrings, a satchel purse and finished off with patent flats.
