Stripes, trench coat, beret - check! I'm leaning into a classic French-style look today. When I'm feeling a little less creative, I tend to rely on tried and true styles, and the classic French aesthetic is one that truly resonates with me. This one, along with the nautical style (also French) and a general preppy vibes are my safe methods of dressing. No matter what stage of life I'm in or time of year, I always return to these aesthetics. I think it's safe to say they all play a part in my personal style sense. Why fight it? Today's black and white look with pops of red is as classic a combination as it gets. The stripes and trench nail it well and truly into the French style but it's also very much a Mimi interpretation with the tiered maxi dress and layered sweater. Also, the embroidered lip print that brings in that hint of whimsy. It's very French, but very me!
