May flowers, here I come! After all the rain we got in April, I am so looking forward to seeing all the trees in my neighbourhood bloom. We have plenty of cherry and apple trees, but we also have magnolias, lilacs and some Eastern Redbuds. That's not even counting the tulips, daffodils and myriad other flowers. I just find it so beautiful with all the bold colours of the flowers against the lush greenery, truly provides so much scope for the imagination! Spring is not my favourite season, but I do try to lean into it and find the moments of joy and its unique aspects to appreciate. Not a fan of the weeks when the snow melts and everything is muddy, slushy and blah. The rainy days are okay if I'm appropriately dressed. But I do enjoy the season once we get past the yuckiness and get to the blue skies and flowers. It's all part of the process and we have to go through some less-than perfect moments to get to the good stuff!
