When the heat of the summer beats down, I like wearing light-coloured, breathable clothing to try and stay cool. A monochromatic palette of beige and off-white with straw accessories usually does the trick. I wore my beige basketweave dress with a cardigan, straw hat and espadrilles. I finished off with pearl earrings and a trusty straw belt. I was thinking of adding a straw bag as well, but I think that would be a bit too much. I'd maybe opt for a bag of a different material. Perhaps a tiny red purse with a matching red lip would turn this daytime look into an evening one. I love an outfit that can take you from day to night - these are the outfits you want to pack when you go on vacay. Take notes!
