I recently tried a sample of the Magic Crystal body scrub from Lush and loved it so much I bought a big jar! It's a purple, tingly spearmint scrub and I absolutely adore it. I was skeptical at first, but the tiny sample lasted longer than I thought it would (a small amount goes a long way), it has a nice refreshing effect (which is great this time of year) and the scrubbing really helps diminish the look and feel of the KP bumps on my arms. I have the KP Bump Eraser scrub, but the stuff is pricey, so I only use it on my legs (where my KP is at its worst!) I'm so happy I found a great product for my less severe areas. This little tub will last me a good while too!
TWO // Half-Zip, Take Two
I'm a big believer in buying the same item in different colours if said item is that great. That's the case with this half-zip. I love the cropped silhouette, the funnel neck, the thumb holes and the huge zippered pocket! It's the perfect sweater to layer over your workout look but is cute enough to also style with jeans and sneakers. I got the bright lilac version earlier this summer and knew I wanted to get more of this sweater. When I saw this light blue, I was sold. I added to cart and never looked back!
THREE // HHH July Capsule
Oh, there's this new print I've been on the lookout for ever since I saw it in some sneak peeks this spring and it launched this week! The Sweedish Floral is totally a print I can get behind! I love the blue background with red and green botanicals. There's something striking yet timeless about the motif and I could envision wearing this for years to come. I'm resisting getting another Ellie, but I'm hesitating on which silhouette to try. I might wait this one out a bit to see reviews before deciding. I'm trying really hard to not make impulsive purchases, but this print is really testing my resilience! That being said, the red, white and blue Geo Eyelet is also very dreamy and I'd be lying if I didn't also notice the Ribbon Ellie in Ticking Geo Stripe... Why is this capsule so good?
FOUR // Joe Fresh Earrings
I got these blue drop earrings a few years ago, but have been wearing them on repeat lately! I guess I'm on a light blue phase where I've been wearing this shade non-stop and keep reaching for these earrings as they are a match! They are actually very light-weight, so are comfortable to wear all day, yet are big enough to be statement-worthy. I love wearing bigger, bolder earrings in the summer because I find it's an easy way to add interest to your looks without adding bulk or layers when it's hot out. Also, have a rummage in your jewelry box to see if you'll find earrings you haven't worn in a while and are ready to rediscover!
FIVE // Nsale
Well, I thought my days of talking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale were over, yet here we are... After closing all of their Canadian stores and website, Canadians are now able to shop from the U.S. website as shipping to Canada is available once again. We've basically reverted to the old way... The format is the same, offering early access to the sale to cardmembers. Not sure if this would still apply to Canadians who were once card members so you'll have to log into your accounts to find that out. I plan on only shopping the sale once it opens to the public on July 15 (hopefully it will have been restocked!) The best strategy is to browse the sale offerings now and add your favourites to your wishlist. Once the sale goes live, you can easily add items to your cart, and see the availability of your favourites at a glance. The added bonus of creating a wishlist is that you can see which items won't ship to Canada, which helps to temper expectations! I've rounded up some of my picks for this year, there is clearly a fall colour palette... What can I say, I live the pumpkin spice life, so will gravitate to those warm caramels, camels and cognacs.
