Mimi Takes Five - #311

ONE // Ditsy Skort
For the last few years, I've been super into workout skorts. They really are a great option for summer workouts, or even just getting things done around the house. I like that they are cute and functional. The wicking fabric is also a great option for hot weather. I already have plenty, but I couldn't resist this green and white ditsy floral skort! I mean, it's simply adorable! I don't have many green workout clothing options so liked adding this one to the mix. It's so cute, I'm thinking I could even just wear it out and about this summer. I definitely plan on wearing it as a swimsuit cover-up, like I do with all my workout skorts. Versatility is the name of the game!

TWO // Emily in Paris - Season 4
Ah, I love when a new season of this binge-worthy show drops! Emily in Paris is the perfect light, fluffy, unrealistic show out there, but I love the escapism it provides. I don't take it too seriously and I think that's how you have to approach it. Don't read too much into it, just enjoy it on the surface level. I love the fashion and the over-the-top characters. Season 4 will be dropping in two parts. The first half will drop August 15 and the second half September 12. I'm looking forward to having some girly content to watch in the upcoming months. We finished off season 3 with quite the cliffhanger so I can't wait to see how the cookie crumbles.

THREE // Travel Steamer
I'd been wanting to get a travel steamer for the longest time, but never found a model I liked. Well, I finally found one! It's foldable, portable and works super well. I have a big steamer that I keep in my laundry room and only pull out when I have lots to steam as it's a bit bulky and involved. I was hoping to find a smaller steamer to keep in our bedroom for quick steams in the morning. I also wanted it to work for travelling. I've used this one in both instances and was very pleased with the results! It warms up quickly, can be used vertically or horizontally, the water compartment is fully detachable for refilling and it comes in a little travel pouch great for also storing. I can't recommend this steamer enough!

FOUR // Bath and Body Works - Spooky Releases
You know autumn is well and truly on the way when B&BW releases their fall and Halloween offerings! One of my favourite things to do on my lunch break this time of year is walk to the air-conditioned mall and browse all the goodies at Bath and Body Works. There's a new thing to look at or smell at every turn.

Fall scents are by far the most appealing to me. I love a good spicy scent with cinnamon and clove, apple, pumpkin and cranberry scents, eucalyptus and bergamot. Basically, anything that smells comforting. Some of my favourite fall candles are back this year such as Pumpkin Apple, Leaves, Sweater Weather and The Perfect Autumn. I did love the Candy Apple Cauldron scent and am considering it for this year. While I'm not super into using candle stands, I have to admit that the seasonal offerings are works of art and can truly count as home décor. This dancing skeleton is so elaborate while the ghost is super cute. Some of the wallflower plugs are also very spooky this year (like this one). Again, not my thing but I can appreciate the creativity!

Many of the seasonal scents are also available in hand soaps and body washes, which is such a great way to add a hint of scent in some of your daily products. Finally, my favourite section has got to be the Pocketbac hand-sanitizer holders! This year's pumpkin drink is a cute latte with whipped cream, the little ghost lights up, the apple cider drink is a real cutie and I like the fox holding a PSL, the owl holding pecan pie and the black cat. I really don't need anymore of these, but they are so stinking cute!

FIVE // Citrus Scarf
My love of printed scarves knows no bounds. I'm not sure when it truly took off, but I have amassed quite the collection of pretty printed scarves in all sizes. I like the bandana size, but am also a fan of the big squares. Both sizes can be worn so many different ways, but it's nice to have options. I'm no stranger to styling a scarf in my hair during the summer and this blue tile print with citrus was calling my name! It's such a Mimi scarf! The light blue and cobalt blue set off by the bright orange and lemon yellow makes it a great pick for adding a splash of colour to many a summery outfit. I love accessories because one hardly ever outgrows them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a good quality scarf one day if the opportunity presented itself. The style factor and versatility alone would justify it (not to mention the passing it along to loved ones one day!)
