ONE // Fall Décor
I did a full deep clean of our living space last weekend. It needed to get done and I really wanted to decorate, so... It's the motivation I needed! When I say deep cleaned, I mean every single surface from walls to windows to floors and every piece of furniture got scrubbed. The space was spotless! It's a lot of work but always so worth it. The next day, I was ready to give our space the fall treatment. I usually decorate for fall the first weekend of September, but I was a bit worried that wouldn't happen this year because of the deep clean. Thankfully, I was able to get it all done and still had a day to rest because it was a long weekend. Now I'm ready to lean into the cozy season. It's funny how I get a burst of energy when fall comes around, the cooler temperatures definitely help with that!
TWO // Red Patent Shoes
My red patent flats have seen better days, so I was on the lookout for a replacement pair. I love the classic round toe look with tiny bow. I also like my ballet flats with a bit of a heel as I find them a bit more comfortable at times. Naturally, when I spotted these in the store I knew they were the ones! A classic, cherry red patent flat - just what I was looking for. They didn't have my size in store, so I ordered them online. I've found Steve Madden footwear to fit me well and have many pairs from this brand that I like, so figured this was a good sign. Well, I was right! They are my red version of Cinderella's glass slippers. Couldn't be happier with this find!
THREE // 24 Days of Tea
This bad boy launched super early this year! I remember it launching at the end of October back in the day, at least pre-pandemic, when I would make a lunch date with my colleague to go purchase our advent calendars... Either way, it's here! After repeating the exact same calendar for two years in a row, I'm happy to see it got a cute redesign this year. Half the fun is seeing the new box and style every year! As cute as I find the design the year, I think I'll be skipping it as I still have teas from last year's calendar and already have many of my favourite flavours in my tea cabinet. It just doesn't make sense to get a calendar simply for the cute packaging. I'm trying to be mindful and not over-consume. However, I can still appreciate the thought and creativity that went into the product this year and still highly recommend it as a go-to advent calendar option! Happy sipping!
FOUR // F Word Mug
My sister knows me so well. She surprised me with this mug when we visited a couple weeks ago. I mean, did she nail it or what? She must have picked up on my love of fall after all these years and totally enabled it, ha ha! Got to love a supportive sister! Did I need more mugs? No. Did I need more fall stuff? Also no. Did I want another fall mug? You bet! I would never turn down a cute fall mug. I mean, it was a gift, so that legitimize the whole thing. Besides being a great yellowish orange, the mug says Fall is my favourite F word. Truth. I was meant to have this mug and my sister knew that. I don't question her wisdom.
FIVE // Down Dog Pilates App
I'm a workout-from-home kind of gal. I've always preferred it to group classes or going to a physical gym. During the pandemic, I discovered the Down Dog workout apps and have been subscribed ever since. I love that my subscription gives me access to the entire suite of apps. I love the yoga and barre one equally and use them multiple times a week. The fact you can customize every aspect of your workout is genius and very convenient! You can imagine my excitement when they recently launched their new Pilates app! I love this type of workout and had to give the app a try right away. I've used it a few times and am very pleased with it, as I thought I would be. Very happy to add this workout option to the rotation!
