Gourd Enough for Winter

Deep plum and blush pink are not colours I typically wear together - but I like it! I decided to throw caution to the wind and wear my Magic Orchard print Nap Dress in the winter. Its print fits squarely into the fall category, but I like the colour so was up to the challenge of styling it for winter. I opted for a blush-pink base and think it did the trick! The turtleneck, tights and waist belt soften the dark colours of the dress while the pearl and opal accessories keep the softness theme going. The tonal blush suede flats help elongate the leg while not drawing attention to the footwear. The full blush base really helps keep the dress as the focal point of the look and that's a fun way of layering for winter. Usually layers are added to my Nap Dresses, effectively covering them up. Not this one, it lets the dress shine! Turns out you can wear pumpkins in the winter.
