We're in the peak of summer, so hot days are plentiful. As much as I love my dresses, I don't think I could wear one every single day (or could I?) Cue the shorts! I had a big sort through of my shorts and decided it was time for a bit of a refresh. The first new pair I got this summer are these baby blue tie-waist shorts. They are so soft and comfortable, perfect for hot weather. They come with a matching waist tie, but I swapped it out for a purple belt today. The removable tie was actually a selling feature for me because it makes the shorts so much more versatile. I stuck to a palette of baby blue and purple for today's look and really love the colour blocking. I've always loved this colour combo! The blouse is actually a very, very old item I've had for at least the past decade... When I like something, I hang onto it! Also, another hot day trick is to wear my damp hair in these two twists and pin them to either side of my head. Easy and fuss-free hairdo that keeps you cool while still looking interesting.
