We were invited to a friend's house recently to make the most of the beautiful weather and the pool. Having not been on a tropical vacation these last few years, I was just itching to wear an over-the top pool outfit, ha ha! This was my opportunity and I made the most of it. I'm always a little extra, so this outfit was not exactly a surprise. I decided to dig out my matching Trina Turk swimsuit and cover-up for the occasion. I added some white denim shorts, my pompom straw hat and a large straw tote to carry towels, sunscreen and other essentials. I finished off the look with simple gold studs and white flip flops. Was it over-the-top for a backyard swim? Yes. Would I do it again? Definitely! I have to keep flexing that vacation styling muscle because I want to be ready when we do go down south again.
