It's a red pencil skirt for day 2! I was really bummed out that I had lost my classic red pencil skirt in the fire, and had been looking for a replacement for about a year now. Well, Banana Republic delivered once more! My old skirt was also from there, and I was crossing my fingers they would make another. All of my fashion wishes were granted when I spotted this skirt on their website. It's slightly different than my other skirt as it has a side slit and a sash belt. But, I am totally loving the new elements. I often wear belts with my pencil skirts, so was very happy with the fact this skirt had belt loops, a definite bonus! I can't wait to wear this number on repeat this holiday season. I've got some catching up to do as I haven't worn a red skirt in over a year! I paired it with a beige ruffle sweater for today's look. How darling is it btw, with its Victorian flair? I wanted to add a bit of edginess to the look, to tone down the feminine vibes and opted for a double-buckle belt, polka-dot tights and fur-trimmed booties. Throw on a plaid scarf and a cream coat for the outer layer and you've got a fun, dressed-down festive look.
