Mimi Takes Five - #121

ONE // Decorating for fall
Last week, I decided to put up my fall decorations. I only started decorating for fall last year and I really liked it! I find it warms up my space and taps into the hygge feeling, so I decided to do it again, especially since I'm working from home and get to enjoy them even more. It's crazy how adding a few pumpkins here and there and stringing up some leave garlands can really change up the space and bring the beautiful autumn outside in. I made a Reel of the decorating process on Instagram, see it here!

TWO // Embroidered Decor
One of the new fall decorations I added to the pile this year are these adorable embroidered creations! I fell in love with the candy corn one and couldn't get just one. They are hand made by Megan that I discovered recently on Instagram. I just can't get over how cute they are and I was looking for fall rather than Halloween decorations so these fit the bill. I just stuck them on our fridge with magnets and they bring the perfect touch of fall to my kitchen.

THREE // Light up Pumpkin
We happened to go to Homesense back in August and it was the peak of fall decor. I scored this adorable glass-like pumpkin that lights up! My husband allowed me to purchase one decoration, so this little guy came home with me. It looks really cute on our TV unit and it's even better all lit up with the twinkle garlands. I like to turn on all my light-up decorations in the evenings and just relax in the hygge ambiance it creates in the living room.

FOUR // Leaf Pillow
I had been eyeing this gorgeous brown leaf pillow cover since last fall and finally bought it when it came back in stock this summer. I thought it would be the perfect cozy fall piece to add to my living room. It's quite gorgeous in person! Changing up pillow covers is an easy way to update your home decor without too much effort or storage space required. Hint: I use the same pillow form and just swap out the cover with the seasons. Easy peasy!

FIVE // Knitted Pumpkins
How cute are these knitted pumpkins? I snagged them the minute I saw them on Etsy! They are simply darling and the perfect colour scheme for my living room. My favourite is the rust coloured one, but the white velvet is so plush and the grey one fits right in. I really love how the knitted pumpkins bring in more texture and variety in my decorations. These exact ones are sold out, but I got them from this shop. The quality is great and they are a good size. I really love them! While all of these exact decorations are sold out, or no longer available, I've linked some similar pieces in the widget below. Happy fall!
