Still making the most of my summer dresses by styling them for fall. I toned down my bright orange lace dress today by pairing it with taupe and plum accessories. Orange is a great colour for fall, but it's usually present in its more muted shades. The deep plum and soft taupe help diffuse the brightness and give the look a more seasonal palette. I chose sandals today because it wasn't too cold, but closed-toe shoes would work as well. Or even tights and booties if the mercury really drops. I'm so happy we are back into layering season. Layers give outfits endless possibilities and I find it keeps pieces from getting boring by always wearing them the same way.
