Mimi Takes Five - #164

ONE // 20 Years, 20 Moments
Just in time for back-to-school, the Wizarding World website launches its 20 Years, 20 Moments to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the first Harry Potter movie: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone! Boy, do I feel old now... I was and still am a huge Potter head, so this is the type of thing that is right up my alley and that keeps the magic alive and well. Over the next couple months, 20 moments of the movie will be revealed and explored in different ways. I remember this movie fondly and have a whole story of the time I saw it in theatres on November 16, 2001. But, if you want to read the story, you'll have to mosey on over to my brother's blog, where I recounted it in great detail during our epic Harry Potter reread.

TWO // Used Bookstores
For those who have been following me for a while will undoubtedly know that I am in the midst of reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. I was lucky enough to be able to borrow the first fours books of the series from my sister. Having had just started reading the fourth book, I was seriously thinking about getting my hands on the remaining books in the series. As luck would have it, I was able to snag the four remaining books at used book stores for a steal! They are all in great condition and two are even hard covers. I got really lucky and the rush of finding the exact book you are looking for is a great one! I can now read as fast as I like and rest easy because I've got all the books in my possession. I doubt I will have read them all by the time the ninth book comes out in November (as they are substantial), but I'll worry about that one when I get there.

THREE // Striped Romper
I'd been eyeing this striped terry romper at Old Navy all summer and finally decided to get it. Not only is the blue striped print perfect for summer, but this romper is the most comfortable thing ever! I've been living in it on evenings and weekends because it's just the easiest thing to throw on and looks cute to boot! It would be ideal worn as a swimsuit cover up, so will be packing it on every beach getaway from here on out! (You know, whenever those become a thing again...)

FOUR // Downton Abbey:  A New Era
Okay, I'm excited to hear about a second Downton Abbey movie! We now have an official title: A New Era. I'm very happy the entire cast came back, but other than that, we don't have much information on the plot... Oh well, I'm sure details will trickle out in the run-up to the movie release in March. However, I did notice the show was back on Netflix, so perhaps I'll rewatch the entire series before the movie comes out. That would be a great refresher and help ease some of the anticipation.

FIVE // Pink Botanical Nap Dress
Ah, I fear this new obsession will rival my headband one... Now that I've opened the floodgates, there's no going back. This is my third official Nap Dress. I couldn't resist the restock of the pink botanical print because I'd been swooning over it for at least a year. I'm actually very pleased with it, the colour of the print is so bright in person and the fabric has a nice "swoosh" to it. The only little hiccup is that I find it to be a tad on the sheer side. No biggy, I simply layer a nude slip underneath and I'm good to go! I'm already looking forward to the fall release and have my eye on a specific print...
