Chanel-ing the Season
I feel very Andy Sachs from Devil Wears Prada in this look! Sure, it's not actually based on any particular look from the movie, but more the feel. I'm thinking about when she wore those thigh-high Chanel boots. While I'm not actually wearing any Chanel pieces, the essence is there: the bouclé fabric, the pearl details, and the black and white colour palette. All in all, I'm feeling very dressed up in today's look and am loving the timeless layering. A black turtleneck, pearl stud earrings, sleek black boots and a white bouclé dress will always be in fashion. Having a wardrobe full of timeless classics is a sure way to effortlessly dress. I'm slowly, but surely, transitioning my wardrobe to reflect this way of dressing. Buying less trendy and fast-fashion pieces and investing more in basic quality pieces.
