Leaning hard into those cozy layers and warm colours. If there are two colours that can take you from fall to festive, they are black and burgundy. Black is obvious, but burgundy is a little more subtle. To me, the richness of this shade of red is ideal for fall because it's subtle; yet when worn during the holidays it comes across as more sophisticated. It's red, but like for adults - if that makes any sense? It's like a grown-up, mature take on the traditional Christmas colour. That being said, today's look fits perfectly between autumnal and festive vibes. I'd say the taupe boots and floppy hat give it a more fall feel, but the fair isle knit pattern reads more festive.
