April Showers

I tend to resort to certain tried and true looks and styles in certain situations. One of those situations is a rainy day. I like formula dressing, but it's especially useful for rainy days. The key elements are a rain coat and rain boots. Now, I have a few options for both so I can mix and match them. However, there is no need to overdo it. One quality rain coat and a good pair of rubber boots that go together is a winning combination. I usually pick my coat and boots before styling the rest of the outfit. In today's look, I chose the yellow rain coat and red rubber boots. Seeing as I went with the bold options, the rest of the look is classic and understated. Trusty dark wash denim with a navy striped sweater. I then used a scarf as a headband and called it a day. I tend to go with the nautical style on rainy days and I think that's down to just the water element. Either way, I think this turned out to be a bright and cheerful rainy day look!
