TBT - All for Black and Black for All

A classic little black dress never goes out of style, nor is it ever a bad outfit choice. I made this halter version work-appropriate by pairing it with a black bolero. This little bolero blends so well with the dress, it almost looks like it's part of it. I spiced things up with some bright turquoise accessories, because I felt an all black outfit would be a bit much for summer. Some times the simplest looks are the best. No fuss, no muss!

TBT - Ruffles and Pearls

So today's throwback pic is reminding me I no longer have this necklace... It's not a big deal, I had gotten it on ebay a few years back and think I will be able to find a similar one to replace it. I'm not going to sweat the small stuff! This look was very simple. A tiered animal-print skirt with a black tank, bolero and sandals. The wow-factor was definitely brought on by the multi-strand pearl necklace. Sometimes, simple looks with a statement piece make the best outfits. It gives off the impression of effortlessness, which is always a good impression!

Sweet Sorbet Maxi

This dress instantly transports me to the cobbles of Italy. I can just see myself strolling along the street, taking in the sights, with a sweet gelato in hand! The colours, the print and the cut of this maxi dress are all so soft and light. It can easily be dressed up or down. The versatility of this piece makes it the perfect dress to pack on vacation. Plus, if this is your jumping-off piece for your packing list, the colour palette it provides will be perfect for a trip in the sun. Just add items in shades of mint, ivory, light pink, peach and navy and you'll have very cohesive travel looks!
