British Prep

Why not take inspiration from the Brits on how to dress for the rain? They seem to know a thing or two on being rain-ready! I have to admit, ever since I got my Hunter rain boots, I sort of look forward to rainy days. Just the thought of knowing my feet will stay dry is enough to put a spring in my step! The other thing I love (although this one's not only for rainy days) is my trusty trench coat. It's the perfect outer layer for rainy fall days. I wouldn't wear it during a storm, but it can sure handle a mild downpour. The class factor almost goes unnoticed when your coat is this functional. The style points don't hurt either! I added a red beret to match my boots today and kept my outfit simple with dark jeans and a feminine blouse. The lace yoke and pleated stand-up collar are simply precious! There's a reason these are basic preppy styles of clothing, they are both functional and unfussy!
