Mimi Takes Five - #41

ONE // Wedding Picture Date
This week, I got a long-awaited email from my wedding photographer! Our pictures are in! I was so excited to receive them and to finally get a glimpse of our big day through her eyes. My husband and I set ourselves a little date night so that we can sit down and relive our special day together. We both worked so hard on making this day happen that this is when we get to take a step back and see the fruit of our labours. A wedding day can be such a blur because of the sheer amount of things going on and there are bits we both missed, so hopefully viewing our pictures will allow us to see it in all its glory! Needless to say, now that I have my pictures, wedding-related posts will follow soon enough.

TWO // Basic Jeans
When Old Navy has $12 jeans on, you update your jeans! It was time for me to trade-in my light wash jeans for a fresh pair and I took advantage of the great sale in February to get a replacement pair. I wanted simple, light-wash, non-distressed skinny jeans. Sounds easy enough, but there are surprisingly not that many options out there these days. Anyways, I managed to find what I was looking for! Old Navy always has a good selection of all kinds of styles. Decent jeans at a reasonable price point. I actually got my jeans just before leaving on our minimoon, so those are what I wore for travelling. They were perfect! I look forward to wearing them plenty come the spring.

THREE // Candy Box
It had been a few months since my last Boîte à bonbons order, so I decided to get the March sour mix. The watermelon licorice is the bomb! They are huge too, at least a two-bite candy. I also like the sour citrus slices. Huge fan of lemon and grapefruit flavours so this is right up my alley! My husband has always loved gummy worms so those are for him and the sour frogs are good too, but I prefer sugar-covered candy. It's all or nothing for this girl!

FOUR // GMG Tweed Dress
So I have been eyeing this darling Agatha tweed dress for months and finally got it on clearance! I absolutely love the feminine and retro fell of Julia's Gal Meets Glam dresses. I love everything from the cuts to the colour palettes, the prints and feminine touches. I always look forward to checking out the new collections every month! Speaking of which, the new one will launch on Wednesday (March 13). Can't wait to see what she has in store for the warmer weather!

FIVE // Keeping Time
I hope everyone's doing ok this morning with the time change. Spring is well and truly on the way once Daylight Saving Time begins! We'll get there, one day at a time! All that to say that we finally got around to getting a clock for the main floor! We were holding out to find the right one and we can across this beauty the other day on our regular trip to HomeSense (or HomeNonsense, as my husband calles it!) It's both a great place and a dangerous place in the sense that we never leave empty-handed and always find what we need, and then some... And just like that, we have another timepiece to adjust today.
