I'm Plaid it's Boot Season!

I busted out the over-the-knee boots for the first time this season! This is one of my favourite styles of boots and they are so fun to style because you get to play with proportion, which I like! I opted for my flat burgundy boots and paired them with dark wash skinny jeans, a plaid shirt (of course) and a navy blazer. I added my go-to mustard headband and cognac purse to give the look that final preppy feel. This outfit is casual, yet dressy enough to wear to work (if you have a laid-back dress code.) I think it's the perfect layered look for this time of year: plaid is a fall must-have, the suede boots add texture and the colour palette is filled with warm tones. Dress it up a notch my switching out the plaid shirt for a neck-tie blouse and the jeans for skinny trousers if you work in a more formal setting. Blazers and boots are such fall staples!
