Mimi Takes Five - #74

ONE // 24 Days of Tea
It's (almost) the most wonderful time of the year! I stopped by my local David's Tea the other day to pick up my 24 Days of Tea advent calendar! It's a tradition my colleague and I started four years ago and we look forward to it every year. We are big tea drinkers at work, so we each get the calendar and do the countdown together. I tend to keep it at the office and only grab the weekend teas for the days I won't be there. It's my way of ensuring I have a good selection of flavours at my desk! This year's packaging is so cute with its retro feel and bold colours. The shape of the box is very different from recent years. It's a double thickness and the doors fold in the centre and tie closed with a ribbon. Although the ribbon is cute, I have to say I prefer the magnetic closure from past years. The tea sachets are an improvement from those used last year, but I still miss the little tins. All in all, it's a great advent calendar and I look forward to steeping my way to Christmas!

TWO // Pineapple Diffuser
My husband had gotten me an essential oil diffuser for my birthday in January, but he recently upgraded it to this gorgeous pineapple! The white, sculptural detail is superb when both in use and not. It fits in so well with my office decor. Not only is it pretty to look at, but it gets even prettier when I turn on the colour-changing light! Yup, this thing lights up too and has multiple settings. I can even just turn it on for the glow without having to use the diffuser option. I basically now had a diffuser, night light and desk ornament all in one! My husband knows me so well it's scary!

THREE // The Crown, Season 3
Finally, the trailer for the third season of The Crown has dropped! I was so bummed out by the little teaser that was released a few weeks ago; there was zero content! However, the trailer is juicy and I simply cannot wait for November 17! There is a cast turnaround in this season and Olivia Colman seams up to the task of playing Queen Elizabeth and Tobias Menzies will be perfect as the Duke of Edinburgh, not to mention Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret! I can hardly contain my excitement and predict some serious binge-watching in the near future...

FOUR // Suitcase
After our honeymoon, although impressed with my packing skills, my husband thought it was time we got me a bigger suitcase. I've been using this carry-on size for a while and absolutely love it, but conceded that I could use a bigger bag. Especially considering my tendency to pack 10% more content into my bags... All that to say that we found this suitcase at Winners a few weeks ago and it was love at first sight! It's the same brand as my other bag, but this marbled pattern is the rose gold instead of the grey. The lining is the exact same and that was the selling point for me! I can't wait to go on our next vacation!

FIVE // October Ipsy
This month's bag is instantly recognizable! How could it not be? It's Betty Boop! I love, love, love this pouch so much! I got a lot of goodies this month including a perfect red polish for the holidays, a volumizing mascara, my favourite radiance pads, a very nude lipstick, a body lotion, a lip scrub (that smells heavenly), a highlighter, a moisturizer and a vitamin C serum. Everything is really great and I've been using them non-stop since I received them!
