Red(y) for Christmas!

That Chritsmas feeling is well and truly in the air and I'm so happy about it! I can't help but feel my spirit lift this time of year. The magic nostalgia of Christmases past always find me again and I lean into it. Sure, Christmas will be different this year, but I'm doing what I can to keep some traditions alive while keeping a safe distance from loved ones. No matter how hard it is to forgo gatherings this year, it's the right thing to do, period. I really hope everyone follows the guidelines set forth by the government this year so that we may gather with all of our loved ones once more. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: it's a small price to pay for the greater good. I hope people can set aside their selfishness and entitlement for society's sake.

Christmas is a feeling and there are ways of keeping that feeling alive while keeping our loved ones safe. Send heartfelt Christmas cards, call your loved ones to hear their voices, bake a batch of goodies and mail them to grandma, have a virtual Christmas song karaoke with your cousins, play outside in the snow, enjoy a hot chocolate and Face Time your mom while you watch a Hallmark movie together, create a Cloud folder on which every family member can add pictures of their home-Christmas and stay connected throughout the season. There are plenty of things you can do, try to think outside the box. At the end of the day, Christmas will be what you make of it.
