(Hot)umn

Argh, I know some people are all for this heat wave we are having, but I am so over the sticky mugginess! Can we just take it down a few degrees and wear our blanket scarves and booties, please? I am champing at the bit to wear all my fall clothes. I long for plaids and velvet and warmer tones. So today, regardless of the soaring temps, I am wearing all my fall faves and am hoping I don't over heat... I opted for a burgundy body-con dress, layered with a soft plaid shirt, a velvet obi belt, suede booties and layered necklaces. I probably would have added tights and a floppy hat had the weather been cooler, but that was most definitely not the case. So there you have it, a fall-inspired outfit, retrofitted for a September heat-wave... These last couple of weeks have been challenging to say the least in the dressing department. I hope we end up getting a proper fall and not jumping from summer to winter. That would be a harsh transition!
